SGC AR Glass for Electronic Display

AR Glass is a non-conductive, wide-band coating designed to perfectly minimize reflection and

maximize transmittance on glass over the visible spectrum. It’s especially designed for highperformance

applications for a wide variety of displays.

Applicable Specifications and Standards

MIL-C-48497A – Coating, Single or Multilayer, Interference: Durability Requirements;

MIL-C-14806A – Coating, Reflection Reducing, For Instrument Cover Glasses and Lighting

Wedges;

MIL-STD-810E – Environmental Test Methods and Engineering Guidelines;

ASTM C1036-90 – Standard Specification for Flat Glass.

Glass Substrate: Clear Glass (Corning and AGC), Low iron, Tempered Glass,

Customer furnished.

Glass thickness: 0.2mm – 10mm

First Surface Reflection: < 0.3%.

Light Transmission : 95% (one side coating); 99% ( two sides coating).

The AR glass has an excellent oleophobic and anti-reflective coating. Due to this

aspect the screen does not collect fingerprints.

Applications: Smart phone,Display Devices, Marine, Gaming,Security, Industrial, Medical

Devices.

AR coated glass reduces unwanted reflections and improves transmission of images over

uncoated glass. Transmission is improved by the same factor. A single surface coating improves

the transmission to 95% and a double sided coating improves light transmitted to 98-99%.

We also offers its proprietary hydrophobic coating treatment which reduces the unwanted fingerprint

color shadows typical of anti-reflective coatings. It also improves the ability to clean the

surface by rejecting static-borne materials and solutions, the coated glass can be easily cleaned

with any appropriate cleaners without affecting the coatings, the coating also makes the glass

products scratch-resistant for easier processing and use.

This specification defines the product requirements for the multilayer (High

Efficiency Anti-reflection) coating for flat displays.

This coating is available on a variety of glass sheet sizes and thicknesses or can be

purchased to specific sizes.

Neutral colors in reflection and no color shift under angle.

It is easy to process to your specifications, and can be tempered, bent,edge-worked

and screen printed.
